Find your own toy
An invaluable source for this website are the original ado catalogs, colourful booklets in which Ko Verzuu showcased his latest designs and ideas on toys. These catalogs were published almost annually, often followed by other printed materials, such as price lists, brochures, and flyers. You will find more than 20 on this page.
Ko Verzuu assigned a unique number to each model, which is fantastic because it serves as the guiding framework for our project. Around 1950, this numbering system was changed. That’s why the catalogs on this page are divided into two time periods. Since the earliest ado models appeared in the listings of the Metz & Co department store, these are also included here as a separate category.
An asterisk (*) indicates materials other than catalogs, such as price lists, brochures, flyers, or supplement catalogs. Documents marked with ¹ were scanned by Herman uit de Bosch, and those marked with ² by the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn.
