different ways to contribute
This website exists thanks to the help of collectors, dealers, and everyone interested in ado. You can contribute too, by sharing catalogues or by making a donation.
Wanted: original catalogues
This website features a large number of original ado catalogues, which can be browsed online. Unfortunately, there is a significant gap in this overview: many catalogues from the 1940s are missing. It is likely that many were issued at the time, and some may still exist.
Do you own an original catalogue or other related paperwork? Please consider sharing it. We prefer scans as high-resolution JPEG files. Sending files is easiest via a service such as WeTransfer.
Catalog entries
Our ado-catalog is still far from complete, and you can help! Photos of items that are not yet in the catalog are very welcome. The condition of the object does not matter, every contribution helps us build a complete overview. Below are some suggestions and wishes for the photos.
Try to photograph the object against a neutral white or light gray background in daylight and make sure there are no other items in the shot.

Make sure the object has enough space around it. This allows us to trim the white borders and ensure the image fits well with the other photos in the catalog. Please also make sure the photo is sent in high resolution.
For smaller items, such as cars up to approximately 30 cm and furniture pieces up to around 10 cm, we prefer extra white space around the object compared to larger items. This helps us convey a good sense of scale.

To maintain consistency in the catalog, preference is given to cars that face to the left.

When sending your photos, please indicate whether you would like your name to be included in the credits.

We also collect photographs of stamps and stickers from toy shops and department stores found on ADO toys. These marks are usually located on the underside of the toys.

Pictures of the sanatorium
For a better understanding of sanatorium Berg en Bosch, the ado workshop, the TB patients, daily life in the sanatorium and its interiors, we are also looking for original documents, photo books, photographs and postcards related to the sanatorium. If you own any of these, and are willing to share them, please contact us. We prefer to receive the images as high-resolution JPEG files.
